Being the largest creature on earth mean you also need a massive skeleton to support that massive body. The blue has the largest skeleton to date. The largest part of the skeleton would be the bones that form its massive head. The bones of blue whale are made of the same materials our are, which is calcium rich bones with thick marrow inside of them to produce new blood cells, and cartilage that is used to connect the bones to one another and still keep them flexible. These creatures also have immense muscular systems that are connected to the bone structures. The blue whale is much like other baleen whale. It has a tapered body plan that allows for easy swimming through the water, baleen teeth which is where this class of whales it's name and of course the double blow hole directly connected to the lungs of theses graceful giants. Though one thing that does distinguish the blue whale from the others is it's massive size. Being the largest creature on earth is kind of hard to miss identify. They are also differently colored. Though a it's name suggests different the real color of the blue whale is more of a grayish color. The blue whale is quiet impressive in shape and history. It's sheer size has literally left a mark in the pages of history.
