The blue whale, while the largest animal on earth, it is still just a whale. Like all known whales it has flippers and a tail fin. The flippers are used for steering through the ocean while the tail fin is used for propulsion. The blue whale controls these massive appendages with its impressively large skeleton. The skeleton of the creature is similar to our in the sense that it is comprised of the same materials that ours are. It is a common belief in the scientific community that they blue whale uses echo location to find its way it the depths of the oceans. The are believed to use echo location to find food or potential partners from grate distances away.
